Burg. D. Kooimanweg afgesloten wegens gaslek [update]

PURMEREND - [update 10.52] Op de Burg. D. Kooimanweg in Purmerend is vrijdagmorgen een gaslek ontstaan. Bij graafwerkzaamheden in het park is een gasleiding geraakt.
Hulpdiensten zijn massaal uitgerukt en de straat is afgesloten. Ook hulpdiensten van omliggende regio's zijn onderweg. Er zou een hard sissend geluid te horen zijn en het gas zou uit de leiding spuiten.

De brandweer heeft zich inmiddels verplaatst. En er is een ambulance met spoed ter plaatse. Gasnetbeheerder Liander doet een poging de leiding te sluiten maar dit heeft nog geen effect.
Politie geeft het advies de gezonheid niet te dicht bij het incident te komen, blijf voor uw eigen veiligheid binnen. Een onbekend aantal woningen is ontruimd. De bewoners ervan zijn opgevangen in de nabijgelegen sporthal Time-Out, zo meldt RTV Noord Holland.

Om 12.00 uur is er op RTV Noord Holland een extra uitzending.

Groot gaslek in Purmerend
PURMEREND -  De brandweer heeft vrijdagmorgen een wijk in Purmerend afgezet vanwege een groot gaslek. Het gaat om de buurt rond de Burgemeester D. Kooimanweg.

Volgens de gemeente is er geen groot ontploffingsgevaar, maar zijn uit voorzorg wel enkele tientallen woningen ontruimd. De bewoners worden opgevangen in een sporthal.

Het gaslek ontstond rond 9.30 uur door graafwerkzaamheden bij een fietspad naast de Burgemeester D. Kooimanweg. Deze weg is over een lengte van een paar 100 meter afgesloten. Er zou een hard sissend geluid te horen zijn en het gas zou uit de leiding spuiten, zo meldt Dichtbij.nl.

De gemeente adviseert inwoners om niet te dichtbij te komen en ramen en deuren gesloten te houden. Gasnetbeheerder Liander zou de leiding imiddels hebben afgesloten. De situatie lijkt daarmee onder controle.
