Gewonden bij explosie in Zaandam

ZAANDAM Bij een explosie in een woning aan de Dominee Martin Luther Kingweg in Zaandam zijn dinsdagochtend rond 03.25 uur twee gewonden gevallen.
De explosie deed zich voor op de tweede verdieping van de flat. Een van de slachtoffers is zwaargewond naar het brandwondencentrum in Beverwijk gebracht, de ander raakte licht gewond.
Volgens de politie was de oorzaak een lek in de gasleiding. De woning is tamelijk beschadigd. Van diverse naastgelegen woningen zijn ramen gesneuveld en kozijnen ontzet.
Door de kracht van de explosie zijn er ook enkele raamkozijnen meters weg geblazen, ze kwamen neer op een grasveld. De hond van de bewoner liep brandwonden op en is naar een dierenarts gebracht.
Meer informatie wilden politie en brandweer niet geven.
