Woning verwoest door brand

27 november 2012 - Amsterdam


Een felle uitslaande brand heeft dinsdagmiddag een woning aan de Amsterdamse Burgemeester Hogguerstraat verwoest. Vanwege de rookontwikkeling heeft de brandweer een aantal woningen ontruimd. Deze bewoners konden aan het begin van de avond hun woning weer in. Er vielen geen gewonden.

De brandweer werd rond 17.00 uur gealarmeerd. Bij aankomst was de brand, die woedde in een woning op de tweede woonlaag van de flat, uitslaand. De bewoners konden hun woning tijdig kunnen ontvluchten en stonden al buiten toen de brandweer arriveerde. Vanwege de rookontwikkeling ontruimde de brandweer een aantal omliggende woningen en adviseerde andere bewoners om ramen en deuren gesloten te houden. Twee personen zijn uit voorzorg onderzocht door het ambulancepersoneel, maar zij bleken geen verwondingen te hebben opgelopen. De brandweer had het vuur snel onder controle.

Er wordt onderzoek gedaan naar de oorzaak van de brand.
